The plane is the easiest and fastest way to get to Palermo. Palermo Airport is Falcone Borsellino (Punta Raisi) and is located 35 km west of Palermo. The airport is connected to the city via a shuttle train service that leaves every half an hour, the ticket for which costs € 5.80. You can also reach the city by bus service that connects the airport to many places on the island and of course there is also a taxi service.
