Maria Filali e Giovanni Eredia met in the social tango sphere, more than 10 years ago. Spontaneously they shared a strong and immediate connexion, based on their common values : their love of life, of people, of tango.
Both of them have respectively a long path as a dancer and teacher.
But it’s only now that they have the opportunity to meet and share their knowledge on a professional level.
They have started in 2018 a common professional path, animated by the same spirit of sharing sensitivity and pleasure at dancing with audience and students.
Yanick and Eugenia have been a couple for more than 15 years. Their individual training has been built on various branches of art and different artistic and working experiences. Seven years ago, they decided to perform and teach together as a pair of professional dancers.
Eugenia’s 20-year artistic experience has been shaped by tango, ballet, contemporary dance, contact improvisation, music and art. As the tango partner of Mariano Chicho Frumboli, Ezequiel Farfaro and Pablo Inza, she has significantly influenced the new trend of the tango.
Yanick has studied industrial design, hip-hop, ballroom dancing, contact improvisation and contemporary music. In 2002, he began studying tango in Buenos Aires by immersing himself into the development of learning and research. For more than ten years, he has been teaching tango in festivals and seminars in Argentina, U.S.A., and Europe.
Such artistic experiences have influenced their personality, shaping their peculiarities and sensitivity through which they have reached a high-quality technique and way of expressing themselves in virtuoso, elegant and poetic performances. They both have tirelessly been investigating the different body movement techniques. For over twelve years certified by GYROTONIC® and Gyrokinesis® methods, they have pursued body movement and self-awareness, which thoroughly inspire their dance and their meticulous and generous teaching approach as well.
